Privacy Policy
1. Common principles
Your content stays on your device
The content you save in the app is, as a rule, stored on your own device. It is
not sent to any SixBalloon server that stores or synchronises user data, and we
cannot read what is stored. In fact we do not operate such a server at all.
No account needed
Every feature works without signing in. There is no such thing as a SixBalloon
account.
No analytics of our own
We do not embed any analytics or crash-reporting service that we operate.
We do not judge you
We do not score, rank, or profile users based on anything the app holds.
2. What each app handles
2-1. ONEDAY+SOMETHING (나중에꼭)
- Saved URLs, titles, body text, hashtags, notes, and target dates — stored in the on-device database, never sent anywhere
- Attachments (images, PDFs, documents; up to 2) — on-device storage, never sent anywhere
- Camera captures and document-scan images — on-device storage (attachment slots), never sent anywhere
- Text extracted from photos (OCR) — on-device database, never sent anywhere (processed on the device)
Where the app reaches outside — automatic title lookup
When you save a URL, the app connects directly to that website to fill in the
page title. That website can therefore see the request and your IP address. No
SixBalloon server is involved, and we have no way of knowing which URLs you
saved.
OCR runs on the device
The app uses Google ML Kit's on-device model; your photos are not uploaded.
Document scanning also runs on the device
The document-scan feature uses the document scanner provided by Google Play
services (ML Kit Document Scanner). Capture and correction happen entirely on
the device. The feature does not use the app's own camera permission — Play
services captures under its own permission and hands the app only the image you
confirm. Play services downloads the scanner module once, the first time you use
it.
Captured images remain as attachments
Images produced by camera capture or document scanning are kept on the device in
the attachment slots (up to 2, shared with manually added attachments) after the
text has been extracted; anything beyond that is not stored and only its text is
used. You can delete stored images individually inside the app.
Text backup files
If you turn the backup feature on, a text backup is written to the
Documents/SixBalloon/ folder on your device. That folder belongs to you, so it
remains even if you uninstall the app. Delete it with a file manager if you no
longer want it. (This feature exists only in ONEDAY+SOMETHING.)
No AI
There is no classification, summarisation, or recommendation of any kind;
you write the hashtags yourself.
2-2. TUNE+WANDER (채널산책)
TUNE+WANDER plays YouTube playlists, channels, and videos that you register, on a screen shaped like an analogue tuner.
What is stored on your device
- the slot position (its order in the list)
- the YouTube address you registered
- the title saved for that slot
That is all of it, and it lives only in the on-device database. You can type the title yourself; if you leave it blank, the app fetches it from the page and fills it in.
No watch history is stored
The app does not record on your device what you played, when, for how long, or
where you stopped. Playback state is discarded when you close the app.
Where the app reaches outside
- Automatic title lookup — when you register an address, the app connects to that page to fill in the title. The request and your IP address are visible to that service.
- Fetching video lists — to load the videos in a playlist or channel, the app calls YouTube API Services (the YouTube Data API). What is sent is the playlist, channel, or video identifier extracted from the address; the list that comes back is held in memory only while it is on screen and is not written to your device.
- Playback — videos play in YouTube's own embedded player (the YouTube IFrame Player). Playback happens directly between your device and YouTube and does not pass through any SixBalloon server.
Data handled by YouTube and Google
In the course of providing those services, YouTube and Google may themselves
process information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and
playback-related information. That processing is theirs; we do not receive it.

3. Advertising
SixBalloon apps are free and supported entirely by advertising; there are no subscriptions or in-app purchases. A banner ad is shown at the bottom of the screen through Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). We do not currently use interstitial or rewarded ads.
What the advertising SDK handles
In order to request and serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent ad
fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may — according to Google's published
description — process information such as:
- IP address (which can be used to estimate approximate location)
- device identifiers such as the Advertising ID
- usage information such as in-app interactions
- diagnostic and performance information
The information the Google Mobile Ads SDK transmits is processed by Google. SixBalloon does not collect or store that information on any user-data server of its own. You can reset your Advertising ID or turn off personalised ads under Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
SixBalloon does not provide the content you save in the app — URLs, titles, body text, and the like — to Google AdMob for ad targeting.
4. Retention and deletion
How long it is kept
Because the data is on your device, it stays until you delete it.
How to delete it
- Individual items: delete them inside the app
- Everything: uninstall the app, or clear the app's data in device settings
Android system backup
SixBalloon apps ship without disabling Android's built-in backup. Depending on
your Android and Google account backup settings and on your device, the app's
on-device data may therefore be included in an Android system backup, or restored
when you transfer to a new device. That backup is
performed by the Android operating system under your own account;
it is not a synchronisation service we run, and we cannot access its contents.
Uninstalling the app removes the app data on the device, but if a system backup
still exists the data may be restored when you reinstall. You can turn the backup
off in your device's backup settings.
We cannot delete data on your behalf
Because the data sits on your device rather than on our servers, we cannot look
up or delete any particular person's data. If a third party asks us to erase
someone's information, there is nothing on our side to erase. This is a
structural fact rather than a policy — and it is the same reason we cannot look
at your information either.
5. Third parties
- Google AdMob — for serving ads (see §3); the Advertising ID and similar data are processed by Google directly
- Google · YouTube — for fetching video lists and playback in TUNE+WANDER (see §2-2); IP address, device information, and playback-related information are processed by Google and YouTube directly
- Google Firebase (Hosting) — for hosting this website; access logs, IP addresses, and similar visit records are processed by Google directly
We do not sell user information.
6. Your rights · children · contact
- You can view, edit, and delete your data directly inside the app.
- The apps are not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
- If this policy changes, we will give notice in the app or on this website. Where required, we will obtain consent in accordance with applicable law.
